Cetyl alcohol is used as an emollient (skin softener), emulsifier, stabilizer and thickener in creams and lotions. Cetyl alcohol may also be added to scrubs to thicken your recipe. Not to be confused with drying ethyl alcohols. Recommended usage up to 1% of your formula.
